Neeva could not convince enough consumers to switch from Google or pay a subscription for search, even after layering on generative AI features. The founders said the hardest problem was not getting users to pay but getting them to try a new search engine at all, and the macro environment made continuing unviable. Snowflake bought the team and tech for enterprise AI use shortly after the consumer product was shut down.
