Humane raised over two hundred million dollars and a decade of hype to launch a wearable that did less than the phone in the same pocket. Reviewers hated the laser projection, the heat, the latency, the cost. The promise was a post-phone interface. The product was a slower, hotter, more expensive way to ask a question. HP bought the assets in February 2025 for $116M and folded the team into its enterprise AI group. The pin itself was bricked for existing users on February 28, 2025.
